111 Chargers earn Academic All-Region 4 for fall semester All 11 Chargers teams had at least one representative. Baseball had the most of any team, with 31. Among women’s squads, cross country, basketball and softball each had 10.

Peterson punches ticket to nationals with 7th-place showing at Region 4 Championships Sandburg men’s cross country runner Andrew Peterson punched his ticket to the NJCAA Division II Championships with a seventh-place finish in Saturday’s Region 4 Championships at Settler’s Hill Golf Course.

Peterson delivers top-10 finish for Chargers at Heartland Invitational Linda Koech’s 23:24.2 mark paced the Chargers in the 5K women’s run. Faith Rotich (25:55.7) was 43rd and Sheila Cheruiyot (26:25.2) finished 44th.
