111 Chargers earn Academic All-Region 4 for fall semester All 11 Chargers teams had at least one representative. Baseball had the most of any team, with 31. Among women’s squads, cross country, basketball and softball each had 10.

Chargers stunned by Triton 2-0 in Region 4 quarterfinals The loss snapped a 12-game unbeaten streak for the second-seeded Chargers, who’d gone 9-0-3 in that span and hadn’t dropped a match since Sept. 8 at Truman. That stretch included a 3-1 Sandburg win at Triton on Sept. 28.

Chargers hold off Heartland 1-0, will host Region 4 quarterfinal Saturday on 12-game unbeaten streak Sandburg earned the second seed and a first-round bye in the Region 4 tournament. The Chargers (12-2-3) will host No. 7 Triton or No. 10 Moraine Valley in a quarterfinal match at noon Saturday at Kleine Field.
