Sandburg Volleyball Stays Sizzling With Sweep at Spoon River

CANTON — The Carl Sandburg College volleyball team stayed hot with a 25-15, 25-11, 25-20 sweep at Spoon River on Tuesday night in a non-conference matchup.

The Chargers (18-11) earned their fourth straight victory and have won nine of their last 10 matches overall.

Gracie Rademacker led Sandburg with 15 kills on a .378 hitting percentage. The sophomore also tied for the team lead with 16 digs and served three of the Chargers' six aces on the night. Jadyn Swan had nine kills for the Chargers, and Grace Evans added seven.

Setter Carmyn Baldwin handed out 33 assists, and libero Jasmin McDaniel matched Rademacker's 16 digs on the evening. Addison DeSpain and Lauren Erke also reached double figures in digs, with DeSpain picking up 13 and Erke 12.

The Chargers totaled six blocks on the evening, led by two apiece from Erke and Swan. Erke and Baldwin also had two aces.
