Rademacker, Swan Lead Chargers in Sweep at Illinois Valley

OGLESBY — Sophomore Gracie Rademacker and Jadyn Swan both had remarkably efficient nights as the Carl Sandburg College volleyball team easily swept Illinois Valley 25-8, 25-7, 25-15 on Tuesday night in an Arrowhead Conference match.

The Chargers (12-10, 3-0) remained unbeaten in conference action after hitting .301 on the night against the Eagles. Rademacker and Swan led the way, with Rademacker putting down a team-best 13 kills on a .440 hitting percentage and Swan coming in with a .571 mark after collecting nine kills on 14 attempts. Swan also had aces on six of her 11 serves on the evening and a team-best four blocks for Sandburg, which has swept its last three matches.

Setter Carmyn Baldwin had 22 assists, and Lauren Erke led Sandburg defensively with 12 digs to go with her seven kills. Libero Jasmin McDaniel picked up 10 digs.

Tuesday's victory marked the sixth time this season the Chargers have posted a .300-plus hitting percentage for a match.
