Chargers’ 4-game win streak stopped on road by Skyhawks

DIXON — Antonia Kisler led the Sandburg women's basketball team with 17 points, but host Sauk Valley handed the Chargers their first Arrowhead Conference loss 67-57 on Tuesday night.

The defeat snapped a four-game win streak for Sandburg (13-7, 3-1), which also had won seven of its last eight contests. The Chargers' point total was their third-lowest of the season as they shot 22 percent (19 for 88) overall from the floor and 18 percent (7 of 38) from 3-point range.

Kisler's 17 points came on a 5-for-20 night from the field. The sophomore also had seven rebounds and three assists.

Sophomore guard Tiera Hall earned a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Six of Hall's boards came on the offensive glass as she earned her eighth double-double of the season.

Freshman Camryn Atterberg joined Hall with a double-double, though in more unconventional fashion. Atterberg collected 10 rebounds (seven offensive) and finished with a season-high 10 steals. Her previous best was six pilfers on Dec. 3 against John Wood.

Hailey Redding had 11 points in the loss.
