PALATINE — The Sandburg women's basketball team ended 2025 on a high note as the Chargers earned back-to-back victories Friday over DuPage and Saturday at Harper.
FRIDAY
Sandburg 81, DuPage 56
Tiera Hall set a season high with 18 points and added a team-best 15 rebounds in the Chargers' home win over the Chaparrals.
Hall was 6 of 10 from the field and had 10 of her rebounds on the offensive end of the floor. The sophomore from Katy, Texas, also had three assists and three steals in the win.
Antonia Kisler finished with a team-high 21 points for Sandburg despite sitting the entire third quarter with foul trouble. Kisler was 7 of 17 from the field and connected on 7 of 8 foul shots. The second-year player from Galesburg tallied eight rebounds and three of Sandburg's 20 steals.
Freshman Hailey Redding also scored in double figures against DuPage, finishing with 15 points on 6-of-16 shooting. Camryn Atterberg had 13 rebounds and a Sandburg-best five steals.
The Chargers took a 21-6 lead after the opening quarter and didn't trail the rest of the way.
SATURDAY
Sandburg 95, Harper 51
The Chargers got off to another hot start Saturday, racing to a 30-9 advantage over the host Hawks after the first period and taking a 53-23 lead into halftime.
Hall had another double-double, this time scoring 15 points and turning in 10 rebounds. Nine of her boards were on the offensive glass, and she had a team-high six steals. The double-double was Hall's third in a row and seventh overall this season.
Kisler totaled 22 points on 9-for-15 shooting to pace Sandburg in the road win. She connected on a pair of 3-pointers.
Redding knocked down a team-best three 3s and added 11 points. Atterberg pulled in a team-leading 13 rebounds and had three steals for the Chargers.
