ROCKFORD — Nationally ranked Rock Valley snapped the Sandburg women's basketball team three-game win streak Saturday, handing the Chargers a 101-58 road loss.
The Golden Eagles, ranked 19th in NJCAA Division II, opened up a 32-11 lead after the opening quarter.
Sophomore Antonia Kisler led the Chargers (5-4) with 16 points on 7-of-16 shooting. Kisler also had seven rebounds, tying Lajaya Angel for the team lead.
Paige Huffman finished with eight points for Sandburg, and Camryn Atterberg scored seven. Freshman Ryleigh Clark had a season-best seven points off the bench in 16 minutes.
Amadea Montijo scored a game-high 26 for the Golden Eagles, who had six players reach double figures.
