Racke collects 4 RBIs for Chargers in home opener vs. No. 6 Wolves

GALESBURG — The Sandburg softball team opened its home schedule by facing nationally ranked Joliet on Saturday afternoon. The Wolves, ranked sixth in NJCAA Division III, won both ends of the doubleheader.

Chargers highlights
A two-out rally gave Sandburg a 5-4 lead in the bottom of the fourth. After a pair of outs to open the inning, Jaylynn Hamilton, Jordyn Climer and Madalynn Knapp each singled to load the bases. Emma Racke then came through with a base hit to center that scored two and put the Chargers ahead.

Sandburg standout
The single was one of two in the game for Racke, who finished 2 for 4 with a pair of runs driven in.
