Hamilton has pair of hits in Game 2 against Coyotes

 

BAY MINETTE, Ala. — Jaylynn Hamilton reached base three times in Game 2 as the Sandburg softball team continued its spring break trip with a doubleheader Tuesday at Coastal Alabama-South. 

GAME 1

Key moment 
The Chargers got on the board first with a two-out run in the second. Emma Racke was hit by a pitch, Hannah Pyle doubled and Payton Ruggles hit an infield single to load the bases with nobody out. With one away, Lakinn Larson's groundout to second pushed home Racke for the game's first run.

Key moment 
Sandburg loaded the bases with one gone in the third as Rodgers walked, Hamilton singled and Jordyn Climer reached on an infield hit. Madalynn Knapp followed with a two-run single to right, and Hannah Pyle brought in a run with an RBI groundout to make it 6-3. 

Sandburg standout 
Hamilton singled twice, walked and scored a run out of the leadoff spot.
