OCONOMOWOC, Wis. — Powered by Nathan Hill's complete-game effort in Game 1, the Sandburg baseball team picked up a big home doubleheader sweep Saturday during a four-game weekend.
The Chargers won twice at home against Olive-Harvey before dropping a pair of contests Sunday at Bryant & Stratton.

Chargers highlights
• The Chargers loaded the bases with nobody out in the second before Kody Knecht drove in two with a single to center for the game's first runs. Carter Chapin added a two-out hit that brought in Knecht for a 3-0 lead.
• Sandburg added three more in the fifth with a Colton Allen RBI double and run-scoring singles from Landon Binder and Carter Ramsey to go up 6-1.
Sandburg standout
Hill turned in a gem on the mound, going the distance and striking out a season-best 10 batters. The freshman from Ontario allowed just four hits, walked only one batter and had 69 of his 101 pitches go for strikes. The complete-game win was the second in a row for Hill.

Chargers highlights
• Carter Chapin's one-out double in the third plated Damien Snell with the game's first run. Hill made it a 3-0 lead as he singled in Chapin and Chuck Hathaway with two out.
• Binder's sacrifice fly in the sixth stretched the Chargers' lead to 5-2.
• Olive-Harvey brought the go-ahead run to the plate as it loaded the bases with two out in the seventh, but Brandon Barrientos struck out the next batter to complete the sweep.
Sandburg standout
Playing first base in Game 2, Hill again proved to be a difference maker as he went 2 for 3 with a run scored and two RBIs.

Chargers highlights
• Hathaway gave Sandburg a quick 1-0 lead as he brought home Snell, who led off the game with a walk, with a sacrifice fly in the first inning.
• After back-to-back singles by Miller and Ramsey to open the second, Knecht moved them up to second and third with a bunt. Brady Veselack followed with a squeeze bunt that scored Miller for a 2-0 lead.
