Hathaway’s HR streak ends at 4 in road loss to Snappers
CANTON — The Sandburg baseball team took a pause from its Region 4 schedule for a road game at Spoon River on Tuesday. The host Snappers won 22-2 in seven innings.

Chargers highlights
• Three consecutive batters reached with two out in the first inning before Landon Binder drew a four-pitch walk to force in a run for an early 1-0 lead.
• Burke Miller connected for an RBI single in the fifth to account for the Chargers' other run.
Sandburg standout
Third baseman Nathan Hill had two of Sandburg's three hits in the contest, singling twice in three at-bats.
Hathaway homer streak halted
Right fielder Chuck Hathaway saw his home run streak snapped at four consecutive games. The freshman did, however, have a first-inning single to extend his hitting streak to eight games.
