Chargers host Augustana JV in 1st spring season action
GALESBURG — The Sandburg women's golf team got in its first action of the season Monday at Lake Bracken, hosting Augustana JV in a dual meet. The Chargers shot 383 as a team to the Vikings' 354.
Olivia Seei shot a 92 for Sandburg's low round of the afternoon. Seei made pars at the par-4 13th and par-3 16th holes.
Jessica Schultz came in with a 94. The freshman from Fieldcrest High School collected pars on Nos. 3, 8, 12 and 18. Anna Carroll (98) and Allie Thome (99) turned in Sandburg's other two counting scores.
Augustana JV's Madison Barnes was medalist with a round of 85, finishing a shot ahead of teammate Georgia Holt.
The match was Sandburg's final tune-up before its national tournament qualifier, the NJCAA Division II Central District Championship on April 13-14 at Shawnee Country Club in Shawnee, Okla.
