OGLESBY — The Carl Sandburg College women's basketball team completed a season sweep of Illinois Valley with a 73-47 blowout of the Eagles on Tuesday night.
The Chargers (4-18 overall, 2-6 Arrowhead Conference) were led by Karsen White (Mapleton, Ill./Limestone) who scored a career-high 14 points and hit a pair of first-quarter 3-pointers that helped Sandburg build an early 20-13 lead.
Sophomore Kelsi Legge (Galesburg, Ill./Galesburg) also hit a pair of 3s and finished with 12 points for the Chargers. Mattie Lower (Aledo, Ill./Rockridge) and Natalie Righi (Pekin, Ill./Pekin) also reached double figures, with each scoring 10 points.
Sandburg had a 44-21 lead at halftime and extended its advantage to 60-31 entering the fourth.
