Chargers Stung Twice at Home by Bees

GALESBURG — The Carl Sandburg College softball team dropped a pair of contests to visiting St. Ambrose JV on Friday at the Hungate Baseball/Softball Complex.

The Chargers' doubleheader scheduled for Saturday against Waubonsee was postponed, and Sunday's games against John Wood were canceled because of scheduling conflicts for the Blazers.

Key Moment
St. Ambrose broke a 1-1 tie in the fourth with a pair of runs as the Fighting Bees scored multiple runs in each of the final four innings.

Sandburg Standout
Riley Creasey (Macomb, Ill./Macomb) was 2 for 3 with a double and an RBI for the Chargers. Her two-bagger in the second inning brought home Maddi Benson (Spring Bay, Ill./Metamora) and tied the score at 1.
