GALESBURG — The 18th-ranked Carl Sandburg College men's soccer team was unable to crack the scoreboard Thursday afternoon as the Chargers fell 1-0 at unbeaten Waubonsee in a Region IV match.
The Chiefs (8-0) scored the contest's lone goal in the 30th minute as Daniel Avila headed in Juan Noyola's ball that had been sent in the box from the left wing.
Sandburg (3-3-1 overall, 3-2-1 Region IV) managed eight shots on goal but could not get an attempt past Waubonsee keeper Dana Brisbon Jr.
